Funky places, Moody skies & some Nice people to travel with along the way ... my trip to Carriacou!

As I write this I can't help feeling I'm in confession apologising for not keeping up with my blogging what a sin! I have been a very busy girl of late so here are some pictures of my travels to the Carriacou Regatta to make up for it.

My trip to Carriacou was part of our Jus'Sail Youth Training Programme which happens in the summer season here in St Lucia. This year we selected students from the National Skills Development Centre. The NSDC's aim is to get students back to work & teaching them life skills which is important for having a positive outlook on life and fulfilling dreams and aspirations. I will be creating another Jus'Sail blog which will high light the students and their trip to the Carriacou & where our boat Good Expectation was built.

I took so many picture it was hard to choose however I managed to collect a few moments to share ... Funky Places, Moody Skies & Nice people ...

The reason for us making the trip Carriacou was to take part in the 2013 Carriacou Regatta ...

Students from Bequia getting ready to practice some sailing ...

On the programme we were happy to have along to assist Lenka and Nick who turned out to be my models for the trip and the nicest people ...

Lenka just loved the place she wanted to move in.

With another walk around we discovered this place ...

Lots more interesting things ...

An amazing view of the sea ...

And Snagg himself.

Snagg makes these authentic model boats which can be purchase. He also uses his place as a restaurant and bar so whenever your on the Carriacou high street check him out.

We also caught up with my dear friend Lylette who recently moved to Grenada and was in Carriacou with her partner Kim. Kim lived on the island of Carriacou for quite a few years and built the wonderful restaurant called Bogles Round House which is now run by his daughter.
